Forward2026 DHA Mental Health Summit: From Clinic to Command - Advancing Mental Health Care and Readiness through Innovation, Collaboration, and Practical Solutions
The 2026 DHA Mental Health Summit, hosted by the DHA Mental Health Service Line, equips military and civilian mental health clinicians and leaders with evidence-based practices and practical strategies for delivering integrated care and leading effectively across the continuum—from the clinic to command. Featuring expert-led clinical and leadership sessions, interactive panels, and collaboration opportunities, the Summit aims to strengthen the continuum of care and enhance the readiness and resilience of Service members and their families.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, social workers, and psychologists across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Evaluate and apply innovative tools and technologies – including AI, MHS GENESIS PowerForms, and MH dashboards and analytics – to enhance mental health care delivery and inform clinical and leadership decisions from clinic to command.
- Describe practical strategies for addressing suicide loss, sexual assault disclosure, and reporting requirements, the full spectrum of substance use disorder care (including the mental health technician perspective), group therapy program development, and operational stress control.
- Apply ethical considerations and policies relevant to mental health practices in the digital age- including emerging requirements such as immediate release of patient notes to the patient portal- to ensure transparency and trust within the military health system.
- Synthesize lessons learned, emerging topics, and best practices – including data-driven leadership, recruitment and hiring and mental health technician utilization-to advance professional practice and rive continuous improvement across the continuum of care.
Course summary
This Internet-Live course will be delivered in Microsoft Teams. The course organizers will distribute the Teams link to learners.
Requirements: CE/CME certificates are awarded to MHS participants who fully complete the activity, successfully submit the evaluation survey, and pass the posttest with a minimum score of 80% unless noted otherwise. The deadline to claim credit is Oct 2, 2026.
