Suicide loss can have profound personal and professional effects on providers. This session examines the impact of suicide in military settings and highlights postvention strategies to support healing , resilience, and continued clinical effectiveness.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, social workers, and psychologists across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Describe the prevalence of suicide in the military and suicide loss among providers.
  2. Anticipate the personal and professional impact of client suicide loss.
  3. Implement postvention strategies to promote resilience and healing.
