Mary Lipscomb Hamrick Research Course

June 10, 2024 to July 3, 2024

This hybrid course will require health care professionals to engage with 3-7 modules a week related to research theory and practice in preparation for a small group practical exercise to identify a research problem, create a research team and apply methodology. Many junior Army Medical Specialist Corps (AMSC) are interested in conducting clinical research that moves their profession forward in a meaningful way. However, most of these officers lack the knowledge and competence to engage in research due to a lack of familiarity with the topic and how to get started in their current position. With an improved understanding of the research process, they will be better equipped to conduct valuable, clinical research in conjunction with more experienced mentors.

This activity provides continuing education for physician assistants, dietetic professionals, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, and occupational therapy assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
