Program Description: Students who enroll in the Deployed Patient Safety Trainings are DoD Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve medical professionals from all Services who are required to complete training as a Patient Safety Manager or Leader/Champion before deployments. Additionally, Unit Officers in Charge (OICs) are trained as the appointed Patient Safety Professional. Classes provide “just-in-time” trainings 6 months before deployments, however, many do not seek a class until 1 month (short-notice).
