Dr. Michael La Fountaine received his Doctoral Degree in Applied Physiology from Columbia University in 2008. His past and recent work describes the pathogenesis of autonomic dysfunction in response to acute (e.g., concussion, mild traumatic brain injury) and chronic (e.g., spinal cord injury) neurological trauma. Dr. LaFountaine received the Researcher of the Year Award in the School of Health and Medical Sciences (2014, 2018) at Seton Hall University, and the New Investigator Award (2013) in the American College of Sports Medicine.
