Target Audience

  • Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, Certified Counselors, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Kinesiotherapists
  • All other health care professionals completing this CE/CME activity will be issued a Certificate of Attendance indicating participation and the number of hours of CE/CME credits, which may be used for submission to licensing boards for satisfaction of CE/CME credits.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify commonly seen wrist pathology.
  2. Explain differential diagnoses of wrist and provocative testing, and initial therapy treatments.
  3. Evaluate treatment options for an active duty service member with carpal tunnel to improve their ability to perform their job.
  4. Demonstrate a detailed upper extremity neurologic exam to improve clinical acumen and diagnostic accuracy.
  5. Examine patients’ ability to perform the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) events.
  6. Demonstrate how to guide patients to train for the ACFT within the limits of their condition.
  7. Describe the utility of a Health Screening Questionnaire and how it facilitates differential reasoning.
  8. Recognize the limitations of the health screening form as a tool for a systems review.
  9. Discuss barriers to successful telehealth and how to overcome them.
  10. Outline innovative ways to make telehealth work for your clinics.
  11. Review cross-gender communication barriers and effective strategies
  12. Outline effective communication strategies.
