Project CARE/FAAST Summit: "Osseointegration Lab" Day 01

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and social workers. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees. 

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain osseointegration. 
  2. Describe wound challenges of traditional prosthetics. 
  3. Compare state-of-the art methods used in osseointegration amputation therapy. 
  4. Defend the proven benefits, and evaluate the putative benefits, of osseointegration following major extremity amputation. 
  5. Compile sufficient knowledge to be able to counsel potential patients regarding the risks of osseointegration following major extremity amputation.
