PHCoE: Clinical Application of the Safety Aid Reduction Treatment for Anxiety and Related Disorders – 3 hour course
Program Description
The START Pilot is a three hour didactic session, which provides training and consultation with Military Health System (MHS) behavioral health (BH) providers in a transdiagnostic, evidence-based group treatment for patients with anxiety and related disorders.
Target Audience
This event is a closed training, available only to those participating in the START pilot.
This activity provides continuing education for psychologist, social workers, and certified counselors. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

- Describe the need and support for transdiagnostic treatments.
- Define safety aids and describe how they contribute to the development and maintenance of anxiety and related disorders.
- List the three main components of the safety aid reduction treatment.

- 3.00 Psychologists (APA)Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). DHA, J7, CEPO maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. DHA, J-7, CEPO designated this activity for a maximum of 3.00 CE credits. The instructional level of this activity is intermediate. There is no cost to participate.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, DHA, J7, CEPO is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 3.00 continuing education credits.
