Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the MEDCOM metrics.
  2. Describe the Clinical Pharmacy role in utilizing the Polypharmacy MART (Poly-MART).
  3. Evaluate diagnostic criteria and clinical presentation to differentiate types of diabetes.
  4. Review updates in clinical practice – clinical practice guidelines and primary literature.
  5. Summarize the Department of Defense (DoD) medical readiness screening process.
  6. Associate data tools available to pharmacy as they apply to Deployment Limiting Medical Conditions (DLMCs).
  7. Understand the burden of disease non-battle injuries on the military health system and mission accomplishment.
  8. Identify modifiable deployment limiting health conditions to target as part of improving medical readiness.
  9. Identify cellular microbiology content and processes.
  10. Explain the pharmacogenomics (PGx) field.
  11. Apply resources to patient case examples (CPIC, PharmGKB).
  12. Summarize the Implementation Toolkit resources for Pharmacogenomics.
