Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Discuss the differences between what would require an emergent exam and what would not.
  2. Describe the likelihood of finding DNA evidence based on the child’s age and development.
  3. Evaluate the importance of Child Advocacy Centers and how to find them in your area.
  4. Differentiate a “Medical Examination” and a “Forensic Evaluation.”
