Department of Behavioral Health – Emotionally Focused Therapy, DDEAMC: 07 - 10 MAR 2022

March 7, 2022 to March 10, 2022

Program Description

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a well-known humanistic approach to psychotherapy formulated in the 1980’s and developed in tandem with the science of adult attachment, a profound developmental theory of personality and intimate relationships. This science has expanded our understanding of individual dysfunction and health as well as the nature of love relationships and family bonds. Attachment views human beings as innately relational, social and wired for intimate bonding with others. The EFT model prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions. This 4-day training will be conducted on 07MAR22 thru 10MAR22 from 0800 through 1600 hours each day at the Fort Gordon Conference Center. 40 credentialed providers, both active duty and civilian GS, and behavioral health technicians will comprise the attendees for this training.
