Target Audience

This CE activity is provided by the DHA J-7 Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, social workers, kinesiotherapists, counselors, and healthcare executives. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

1. Compare the effects of acute and chronic sleep deprivation.
2. Demonstrate interventions to improve sleep time.
3. Discuss Communicable Diseases and standard precautions and their role in health care.
4. Identify, understand prevention techniques and treatment for the following communicable diseases: lice, scabies, norovirus, measles, influenza and hepatitis.
5. Define MI and the six Stages of Change.
6. Practice and learn how to use OARS.
7. Employ assessment changes including the addition of the Vestibular Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS), cervicogenic symptoms and enhanced balance assessment.
8. Show how MACE 2 improves the current standard of care for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) management.
