-1 of 7 SANE nurses at DDEAMC with training according to the standards of Department of Army (DoA), Department of Justice (DoJ), and International Association of Forensic Nursing (IAFN) standards to include a 40 hour didactic training.
-Preformed approximately 100 Medical Forensic Examinations for both male and female patients as a non-bias medical personnel for the purpose of medical evaluation and subsequent collection of biological samples, documentation, and forensic photography.
-Peer reviewed over 150 exams to ensure quality care, proper documentation, and accuracy.
-Preceptor for over 25 SANES/SAMFEs serving DoD population since 2012.
-MEDCOM appointed preceptor for new SAMFEs.
-Provides expert evidential and legal testimony as well as education regarding medical forensic examinations to legal and command groups.
-Serves as an expert for medical forensic healthcare for both prosecution and defense.
-Member of the Fort Gordon SART team providing regular presentations for the Commanders Course and various other trainings to afford members with an expanded education on the direct resources utilized by those responding to victims of assault.
- Member of the Augusta-Richmond County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), 2016-present for the development of local protocol and procedures related to sexual assault response.
-Medical nurse case manager for all victims of sexual assault and strangulation at Fort Gordon to include active duty tri-service members, dependents, and civilian employees.
-Responsible for coordinate care for victims of assault with a multidisciplinary team to include the Sexual Assault Care Provider (SAC-P), Sexual Assault Behavioral Health Provider (SABH), chaplain, inpatient and outpatient services (to include the Residential Treatment Facility and ASAP), specialty medical departments, SHARP, Family Advocacy Program (FAP), and command as needed.
- Serve as the medical representative at the monthly Sexual Assault Review Board (SARB)
-Serves as the leader for the quarterly Sexual Assault Medical Management meeting with the SAMD, SAC-P, behavioral health, and SAMFEs to review case load and edit patient care plans as needed.
-Serves as a member of the High-Risk Response Team for identified victims, reviewing the victim’s status on a weekly basis.
-Serves as a member of the local Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Review Board to coordinate medical care and case review for all pediatric victims of abuse, sexual assault, or neglect.
-Assist OBGyn clinic with patient care and case management needs
