Program Description
This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Trainings. This iteration will review Continuous Glucose Monitoring.
Target Audience
This CE/CME activity is accredited by the DHA, J-7, Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze the stance of clinical practice guidelines on the use of continuous glucose monitors.
- Identify appropriate patients and those meeting Prior Authorization criteria for use of a continuous glucose monitor.
- Integrate prescribing and physical application of continuous glucose monitors in their respective practice
- Facilitate patient education on continuous glucose monitoring devices prescribed and dispensed at Womack Army Medical Center.
