Program Description

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Trainings. This iteration will review Continuous Glucose Monitoring.

Target Audience

This CE/CME activity is accredited by the DHA, J-7, Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Analyze the stance of clinical practice guidelines on the use of continuous glucose monitors.
  2. Identify appropriate patients and those meeting Prior Authorization criteria for use of a continuous glucose monitor.
  3. Integrate prescribing and physical application of continuous glucose monitors in their respective practice
  4. Facilitate patient education on continuous glucose monitoring devices prescribed and dispensed at Womack Army Medical Center.
