This is the monthly Vision Center of Excellence Ocular Trauma and Vision Readiness Video TeleConference. This conference discusses ocular trauma cases and vision readiness topics from around the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The DHA Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) Competency Training is conducted for new DHA hires (psychologists, social workers, LPCs) working as BHCs in primary care. The training aims to familiarize new trainees with the PCBH model of care delivery that is used in primary care clinics. The training will have didactic components as well as the use of role plays and experiential activities to familiarize trainees with the unique skills required to function optimally as a BHC.

The Defense Health Agency Public Health Chief Nursing Officer hosts a Lunch and Learn series for nursing staff assigned at DHA to provide an avenue for academic and professional discussions of articles of interest that transcend public health nursing. This series disseminates new information throughout DHA public health nursing professionals to be shared in their engagement with Military Health System nursing staff. The events will be hosted live via a dedicated MS Teams channel to allow for maximum participation.
