Womack Pharmacy: Beers Criteria

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Training Series. This iteration will discuss the Beers criteria.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the physiologic changes that occur with aging.
  2. Explain the 2025 Alternative Treatments to Selected Medications.
  3. Define the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Beers Criteria guideline purpose.
  4. Utilize the Beers Criteria, to potentially recommend changing inappropriate medication use in older adults.
