Program Description

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Training Series.  This iteration will discuss the practical approach to Weight Loss Medications.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.  A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Summarize guidelines for obesity management.
  2. Select appropriate patient candidates for weight loss medications.
  3. Identify safety concerns and monitoring parameters for weight loss medications.
  4. Review formulary restrictions for weight loss medications.
  5. Develop a plan for obtaining and safely utilizing weight loss medications in appropriate candidates.
