Program Description

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Training Series.  This iteration will review diagnosis and treatment of Anxiety Disorders.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.  A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the signs and symptoms, diagnostic criteria and pathophysiology for generalized anxiety disorder.
  2. Discuss the efficacy of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment options for the management of generalized anxiety disorder.
  3. Outline the mechanisms of action, significant drug-drug interactions, and adverse effects of drugs used to treat generalized anxiety disorder.
