Womack Pharm: Long-Term Opioid Therapy (LOT) for Non-Malignant Pain Risk Mitigation Strategies

Program Description: 

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Training Series.  This iteration will discuss Long-Term Opioid Therapy.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. List and discuss opioid risk mitigation recommendations per DoD/VA, CDC and DHA guidelines.
  2. Explain key components of the Opioid Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution (OEND) efforts to increase availability of naloxone to patients at risk.
  3. Identify risk mitigation tools and resources available for providers and patients alike.
