Program Description

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Training Series. This iteration will discuss Endocrine Emergencies.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Review the physiology of the thyroid.
  2. Describe the typical causes and presentation of (severe thyrotoxicosis) Thyroid Storm.
  3. Summarize the treatment options for Thyroid Storm
  4. Outline Post-discharged treatment strategies for Thyroid Storm.
