Program Description

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Training Series.  This iteration will discuss the better management practices of Opioid Use Disorder in the MTF.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain how OUD affects brain function and behavior.
  2. Identify strategies to minimize opioid overdose risk, including naloxone distribution.
  3. Evaluate and compare the mechanisms of action and efficacy of pharmacological treatments for OUD.
