Program Description

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Trainings. This iteration will review inpatient hyperglycemia management.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify appropriate target blood glucose (BG) ranges based on patient specific factors.
  2. Apply guideline recommendations to treat hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients.
  3. Create a treatment plan for a patient experiencing hypoglycemia.
