Program Description
This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Trainings. This iteration will review exercise as the new medicine.
Target Audience
This CE/CME activity is accredited by the DHA, J-7, Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Differentiate between the various types of exercise.
- Summarize physical activity guidelines based on age groups and certain patient populations.
- Devise ways to develop self-management health goals.
- Identify ways to have an active lifestyle.
- Outline the benefits of short and long term exercise.
- Evaluate recent literature of physical activity on health.
