Program Description

This activity is a part of the Womack Army Medical Center Pharmacy Monthly Trainings. This iteration will review exercise as the new medicine.

Target Audience

This CE/CME activity is accredited by the DHA, J-7, Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Differentiate between the various types of exercise.
  2. Summarize physical activity guidelines based on age groups and certain patient populations.
  3. Devise ways to develop self-management health goals.
  4. Identify ways to have an active lifestyle.
  5. Outline the benefits of short and long term exercise.
  6. Evaluate recent literature of physical activity on health.
