Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for MHS physicians, nurses, physician associates/physician assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, and dental technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Critically evaluate emerging evidence linking periodontitis to systemic disease
  2. Explain inflammatory and microbial mechanisms
  3. Interpret interventional data (HbA1c, CRP, CVD risk)
