VCE: Frequency of Oculomotor Dysfunction in Symptomatic Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (FOCUS mTBI) Principal Investigator Certification and Training Course

This course is intended to provide certification and training for Principal Investigators of an upcoming study on traumatic brain injury vision (TBI) dysfunction. The study will take place in a variety of military treatment facilities on patients that have experienced a TBI in the past 12 months. The goal of the study is to determine whether the frequency and type of oculomotor dysfunction in adult military members symptomatic from a recent mild TBI (30-180 days post-injury) is greater than the frequency of oculomotor dysfunction in a control population without a recent (within 12 months) history of mild TBI.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  2. Implement the study site and staff requirements.
  3. Perform testing procedures properly and accurately.
  4. Orient and perform testing on study participants.
  5. Record and submit testing results.
