Program Description

This is the monthly Vision Center of Excellence Ocular Trauma and Vision Readiness Video TeleConference. This conference discusses ocular trauma cases and vision readiness topics from around the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, and optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss why eye removal is pertinent to ocular trauma
  2. Describe the indications for eye removal
  3. Explain surgical approaches to orbital/globe removal
  4. Outline post-surgical considerations following eye removal
