Program Description

This is the monthly Vision Center of Excellence Ocular Trauma and Vision Readiness Video TeleConference (VCE OTVR VTC). This conference discusses ocular trauma cases and vision readiness topics from around the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, and optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand current initiatives of the Vision Center of Excellence 
  2. Describe the system of care concept for the assessment, care and rehabilitation of vision dysfunction associated with traumatic brain injury and ocular trauma
  3. Identify the principles of the Warfighter Vision Health Project
  4. Explain the continuity of ocular/vision care between the Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA)
