Program Description

This is the monthly Vision Center of Excellence Ocular Trauma and Vision Readiness Video TeleConference. This conference discusses ocular trauma cases and vision readiness topics from around the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, and optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss the need for the Tri-Service Ocular Trauma Surgery Lab (TSOTSL)
  2. Review the history of the TSOTSL
  3. Describe the didactic lectures for the combined MD/OD group
  4. Review the sections of the Ophthalmology Track
  5. Review the sections of the Optometry Track
  6. Review the course layout
  7. Discuss the required Individual Critical Task List (ICTL) and Knowledge Skills Abilities (KSA) being addressed in the course
