Overview

Program Description

This is the monthly Vision Center of Excellence Ocular Trauma and Vision Readiness Video TeleConference. This conference discusses ocular trauma cases and vision readiness topics from around the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, and optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand relevant anatomy of the eyelid and lacrimal system
  2. Create plan for repairing simple and complex eyelid and canalicular lacerations
  3. Apply good surgical techniques in eyelid repair
  4. Discuss best practices in a deployed setting
