Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain sterile compounding and understand the difference between the two compounded sterile preparation (CSP) categories.
  2. Distinguish between a beyond use date (BUD) and an expiration date.
  3. Describe Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  4. Define Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC).
  5. Identify the documentation requirements for Master Formulation and Compounding Records.
