Program Description: 

This session of the conference will address DHA-approved resources for Optometry Telehealth services.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Apply DHA-approved software, mobile apps, and technology to request consults for a variety of specialties, such as corneal surface, dermatology, pediatrics and others
  2. Understand when ancillary testing or images would assist the consulting provider in a telehealth setting, and demonstrate how to provide them via telehealth technology
  3. Demonstrate basic trouble-shooting of telehealth tech and software applications, as remote or austere settings may have limited or unstable internet connectivity
