Tobacco Cessation
Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who support/care for U.S. active-duty service members, reservists, National Guardsmen, military veterans and their families.
Learning Objectives
- Identify Motivational Interviewing techniques and to be able to direct patients to local resources for tobacco cessation.
- Recognize the health risks of vaping and be able to counteract the common perceptions of vaping being a low to no risk activity.
- Analyze proper use of tobacco cessation aids
- Compare utility of tobacco cessation aids in select patient populations.
- Discuss role of clinical pharmacists in tobacco cessation at Fort Bragg.
