Program Description:
Discover the latest advancements in the management of traumatic brain injury (TBI) through an exploration of leading-edge treatment options. Join us as we explore the use of Microstructure Anatomy Gradient for Neuroimaging with Ultrafast Scanning (MAGNUS), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved medical devices. Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for Physicians, Physician Associates/ Physician Assistants, Nurses, Athletic Trainers, Psychologists, Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Social Workers. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Identify how innovative strategies and tools are changing the way providers evaluate and manage service members and other patients following mild traumatic brain injury.
- Explain how treating depressive disorders with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation can help patients achieve full rehabilitation potential after mild traumatic brain injury.
- Describe the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved biomarkers and medical devices that aid in evaluating and managing traumatic brain injury, including limitations and specific considerations for the military population.
- Evaluate the clinical utility of Microstructure Anatomy Gradient for Neuroimaging with Ultrafast Scanning (MAGNUS) in detecting mild traumatic brain injury and its potential to inform return to duty decisions, advance research on neural biomarkers, sleep health, and cognitive performance.
