Program Description
This live course is a neonatal educational program that focuses exclusively on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants. It utilizes the Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab work, Emotional Support (S.T.A.B.L.E.) Program which is a concise, directive tool to assist healthcare providers organize the myriad of details and interventions necessary to provide care to a sick and/or premature infant.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, and nurses. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Summarize the process of neonatal adaptation to extrauterine life.
- Illustrate signs and symptoms of common neonatal complications.
- Outline appropriate care and interventions during newborn transition to extrauterine life.
- Explain standard of care on newborn transitional assessment and monitoring.
