Program Description

This four-day workshop will cover various topics of interest to case managers, medical management staff, administrators and supervisors of case managers. Topics include updates on various clinic programs such as behavioral health, traumatic brain injury, the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), care of transgender individuals, useful automation tools, documentation and coding, care of patients with chronic pain and legal and ethical issues specific to case management in dealing with Host Nation facilities. Additionally the last day will focus on medical management and the components of a medical management program, including topics on disease management, HEDIS metrics, obtaining and using data from the CarePoint databases, referral management and avoiding readmissions.
