Program Description
The Regional Health Command Europe (RHCE) Fall 2020 Medical Surgical Conference provides an educational forum which highlights and fosters innovative medical breakthroughs/best practices, provider updates on the latest evidence-based medicine, and exposes active duty staff to Individual Critical Task List (ICTL) training in a formal educational environment. As new and improved methods of practice, evidence and care are discovered, this conference allows our healthcare workers to have better opportunities to share and advance their practice and improve patient care. Embracing innovation allows our military providers to stay mission ready and benefits all patients in the European theatre.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, counselors, and healthcare executives. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Define the five dimensions of sleep.
- Identify basic sleep hygiene and stimulus control principles.
- Define what Individual Critical Task Lists (ICTL’s) are.
- Identify how to customize simulation experience for various learner populations.
- Describe the military impact of Covid-19.
- Outline treatment options for Covid-19.
- Identify treatment protocols used at LRMC for Covid-19
- Describe LRMC military experience with inpatient and outpatient management of Covid-19 patients
- Define and describe the scope, goals, and objectives of Access to Care.
- Discuss normal sleeping patterns in childhood.
