RHCE 2019 Fall Medical Surgical Conference: Pediatrics: Day 1
Target Audience
This CE activity is provided by the DHA J-7 Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). Learning Objectives
1. Compare the conflict, in regards to vaccinations, between public health, religion and free choice.
2. Outline facts to address parental concerns regarding vaccine safety and efficacy.
3. Identify the five key characteristics of emerging adulthood.
4. Outline at least two clinical considerations relevant to this stage of development.
5. Recognize the manifestations of early and late Lyme disease.
6. Summarize available treatments for combating recurrent MRSA skin and soft-tissue infections.

9. Summarize relatively recent updates to the routine pediatric vaccination schedule.
10. Discuss how to assess the risk of certain infections.
11. Define Syncope while describing the common etiologies including neurocardiogenic, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and arrhythmogenic.
12. Familiarize the audience with the basic, evidence based, evaluation and workup of syncope in otherwise healthy individuals.
