Target Audience
- Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, Certified Counselors
- All other health care professionals completing this CE/CME activity will be issued a Certificate of Attendance indicating participation and the number of hours of CE/CME credits, which may be used for submission to licensing boards for satisfaction of CE/CME credits.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the evidence surrounding Doula support.
- Discuss the doula support in the Military Health System (MHS).
- Examine and appropriately diagnose headache disorders encountered in many clinical settings.
- Recognize when imaging may be warranted in the workup of headaches.
- Explain cervical cancer screening recommendations in accordance of the newly released 2020 American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) guidelines.
- Identify tools/scenarios relevant to current practice to enable all providers to evaluate results and determine appropriate plan of care.
- Review guidelines on management of hypothyroidism in pregnancy.
- Explain the management of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.
- Summarize how to optimize midwifery coverage of Labor and Delivery with only 2-3 certified nurse midwives (CNMs).
- Discuss how this model optimize the physician’s GSO model in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Discuss the impact and management of overt hypothyroidism during pregnancy.
- Review the impact and management of thyrotoxicosis in pregnancy.
- Investigate new and atypical treatments for post-dural puncture headache.
- Review available peripheral nerve blocks for cesarean delivery.
