Returning to the Operating Room (OR) – Lessons from a Slow Deployment

This is the monthly Vision Center of Excellence Ocular Trauma and Vision Readiness Video TeleConference (VCE OTVR VTC). This conference discusses ocular trauma cases and vision readiness topics from around the DoD, DHA and VA.

This webinar is by invitation only.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, and optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss elements of surgeon deployments including preparation, clinic management and pre-deployment requirements.
  2. Discuss available resources for maintenance of surgical skill and continuing education during deployment.
  3. Share experiences and best practices of reintegration back into clinic post-deployment.
  4. Explain best practices in managing common eye conditions after returning from a surgical deployment.
