- Review basic facial nerve anatomy and function.
- Analyze the potential sequelae of facial paralysis.
- Identify the importance of and the various methods to protect the eye.
- Explain the role of physiotherapy, pharmacologic interventions, speech therapy and behavioral health in the management of facial paralysis patients.
- Discuss instituting bilateral myringectomy with tympanostomy tube insertion and adenoidectomy as a treatment for the facial paralysis patient.
