Learning Objectives

  1. Review process to determine return on investment of TBI specific care using overall and discipline-specific medical utilization rates. 
  2. Discuss the differences in medical utilization for primary care, behavioral health, and rehabilitation services from over 100 patients with complete date of injury, intake, rehab, and discharge data. 
  3. Appreciate the benefits and limitations of using medical utilization as proxy for functional level for programmatic and functional decision making.
