Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician associates/physician assistants across the MHS. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Compare the differences between the Circulation, Airway, Breathing (CAB) and the Airway, Breathing, Circulation (ABC) approach, and when to use them.
- Differentiate between isolated injury patterns and their respective treatments, and multiple system trauma and their respective treatments.
- Summarize the positive effects of why prioritization of circulation over airway results in a better patient outcome when exsanguinating hemorrhage is present.
