Primary Care Pain Care Champion Training: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Pain Skills: Webinar 2

Program Description

The Stepped Care Model (SCM) for pain supports evidence-based, comprehensive management of acute and chronic pain for all enrolled patients. This workshop aims to train primary care pain champions to implement the SCM for pain in their patient-centered medical homes (PCMH).

Target Audience

This continuing education (CE) activity is provided by the DHA J-7 Continuing Education Program Office (CEPO). This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, kinesiotherapists, and healthcare executives.  A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Integrate principals of behaviorally-based treatments for pain into PCM‘s appointments.
  2. Describe behaviorally-based interventions for pain to patients.
  3. Reinforce internal behavioral health consultant’s (IBHC) treatments for pain.
