Pediatric Medical Nutrition Therapy in the Acute Care Setting
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for dieticians and dietetic technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Define pediatric malnutrition and list the primary indicators for diagnosis when single and multiple data points are available.
- Explain the use of enteral nutrition in the pediatric population including when to initiate and how to advance therapy.
- Describe the necessary steps for ensuring readiness for discharge when nutrition interventions must continue post-discharge.
