Program Description:
Oral ulcers may represent localized or generalized gastrointestinal, immunologic, or infectious disease. This series explores these distinctions and the use of diagnostic techniques, consultation, management, referral, and outcomes.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for: physicians, nurses, physician assistants/associates, dentists, dental hygienists, and dental technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Recognize and document abnormalities and findings associated with oral and head/neck examination and oral/oropharyngeal cancer screening.
- Develop/arrive at a differential or definitive diagnosis aligned with clinical, radiographic, pathologic and laboratory findings.
- Execute a management plan, and engage through interprofessional practice, focusing on outcomes in patients in all stages of life.
