This is the monthly Vision Center of Excellence Ocular Trauma and Vision Readiness Video TeleConference. This conference discusses ocular trauma cases and vision readiness topics from around the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. These topics are necessary to keep the eye care providers up to date with their required knowledge, skills and assessments. Provided by the Vision Center of Excellence.

Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses and optometrists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Differentiate the types and classifications of burns.
- Summarize burn resuscitation and total body mass surface area with particular attention to systemic management of the patient.
- Discuss and describe ocular issues in burn patients including diagnosis and evaluation, acute and chronic concerns, surgical intervention, and management.
