Occupational Health Basic Nursing Course
This course is designed to prepare occupational health nurses with the skill and regulatory knowledge required to operate an occupational health clinic effectively, to provide care that improves the overall health and safety of the employees at all military treatment facilities.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for nurses. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Prepare occupational health nurses to take the American Board of Occupational Health Nursing (ABOHN) Certification exam.
- Develop nurses with a non-occupational health background with effective care tools to work in an occupational health clinic.
- Provide prepared occupational health nurses with a comprehensive review of occupational health.

Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
