Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Compare US Navy and U.S. Marine Corps’ (USMC) two (2) Chains of Command: Operational and Administrative.
- Summarize the roles of a Combatant Command and a Component Command.
- Explain how and why a U.S. Navy ship’s Fleet assignments can change during a deployment.
- Evaluate the life cycle of a controlled substance, the policies and procedures around working with controlled substances and the role of the Controlled Substance Inventory Board (CSIB).
- Summarize the roles and responsibilities of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the procurement / distribution process.
- Review the different Roles of Care and explain antidotes and supportive treatments for the most common chemical agent exposures.
